Skyjack Lift And Telehandler Service For Mixed Fleets

Independent service for Skyjack scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers from Austin to San Antonio. We service Skyjack equipment as part of mixed material handling fleets. Telehandlers are the overlap with forklift work. Based in Buda, Texas. Keeping your business running on time since 1993.

Where Skyjack Equipment Works In Central Texas

Skyjack is not a forklift brand in the counterbalance sense. Skyjack builds aerial work platforms, including scissor lifts and boom lifts, and telehandlers. R&R Lift is an independent forklift company. We service Skyjack equipment because it sits next to the forklifts on the same site and in the same downtime conversation.

Skyjack is best known for scissor lifts. Fleets choose Skyjack for a broad lineup of scissors, with boom lifts and telehandlers from the same manufacturer. In Central Texas that equipment follows maintenance work, construction, and building materials, not a single warehouse story.

Facility and warehouse work. Electric scissor lifts inside distribution buildings and plants, used for lighting, racking, and building upkeep. Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville, and the SH 130 buildings run these.

Construction and contractor yards. Scissors and booms move with the job along I-35, in Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, and the San Antonio north side. Between jobs they sit in a yard and need to start on Monday.

Lumber and building materials. Telehandlers place packs and load trucks in Georgetown, Seguin, New Braunfels, and San Marcos. These sites also run forklifts, so mixed fleet service is the point.

What We Service Across Skyjack Platforms

R&R Lift services Skyjack equipment as an independent company. We do not sell new Skyjack equipment. We service the units that show up in mixed material handling fleets across Central Texas. We list equipment types here, not model numbers.

Scissor Lifts

Scissor lifts are the core of the Skyjack range.

  • Electric scissor lifts (slab units for indoor facility and warehouse work)
  • Rough terrain scissor lifts (engine powered units for outdoor and job site work)

Scissor service work covers hydraulic function, batteries and chargers on electric units, engines and fuel systems on rough terrain units, tires, control systems, safety devices, and documented inspections. Aerial equipment carries its own inspection and compliance expectations. We inspect, we document what we find, we service what is worn, and we tell you when a unit should stay out of service until it is safe to use. We do not quote a regulation number on this page.

Boom Lifts

Skyjack also builds boom lifts for reach and positioning.

  • Telescopic boom lifts (straight reach for outdoor and construction work)
  • Articulating boom lifts (reach up and over obstacles)

Boom service work covers boom function and wear points, hydraulics, slew and drive, batteries or engines as equipped, tires, controls, and the rest of the PM scope.

Telehandlers

Telehandlers are the forklift adjacent work.

  • Telescopic handlers used in lumber, masonry, construction supply, and outdoor yards

Telehandler service covers boom function, hydraulics, carriages and forks, attachment locks, outriggers where fitted, drivetrain, brakes, tires, and the rest of the PM scope. A forklift technician already understands how these machines fail.

Common Service Work On Skyjack Equipment

The service work we run on Skyjack equipment in Central Texas covers four categories.

Preventative maintenance. Scheduled PM visits at the intervals the platform and the duty cycle call for. Documented inspections. Fluids, filters, hydraulics, function tests, batteries, tires, and wear points. Thorough PM is the line that cuts reactive repair cost and downtime cost.

Diagnostics. Intermittent lift faults, drift, weak lift, dead batteries, and no start conditions get system level testing. Fault codes are a starting point, not the finish. If a dealer only tool is genuinely required, we tell you up front.

Repair. Hydraulic component replacement, wear items, control issues, engine and motor service, battery and charger work, tires, and brakes. Most repair work happens on site. When a job needs shop level work, we coordinate transport and give you a timeline. Technicians carry common wear items on the truck so a PM or a simple repair can finish without a second trip for a filter or a hose.

Fleet program coverage. For operations running 10+ forklifts, the Fleet Program is a scheduled maintenance for the whole fleet. Planned service intervals, documented inspections, and one team that knows every unit you run. Fleet Program customers get a tech on site to diagnose within 24 hours for a down unit and within 2 business days for everything else. Guaranteed. Same day or next business day. After hours service is reserved for Fleet Program customers.

Independent Service Vs Skyjack Dealer Service

R&R Lift is an independent forklift company based in Buda, Texas, operating since 1993. We are not an authorized Skyjack dealer. We service Skyjack equipment. We do not sell new Skyjack equipment and we are not in Skyjack’s dealer network.

Most of our customers came to us from a national dealer. They were tired of waiting days for a callback and getting an invoice nobody could explain.

On Skyjack equipment the same report has a mixed fleet twist. Customers were tired of calling one company for the forklifts and another company for the scissor lifts.

Warranty claims on new Skyjack equipment should go through an authorized Skyjack dealer so the claim is processed the right way. Regular maintenance and repairs that are not under warranty can stay with us.

Parts for Skyjack repairs are sourced through standard OEM and aftermarket channels. We tell you what we recommend and why. We are not a parts counter. If a job needs Skyjack proprietary dealer only tools, we say so up front and we point you to the dealer path for that job.

Skyjack Equipment Operations We Serve In Central Texas

We service Skyjack equipment across the industrial and construction submarkets of Central Texas, always as part of mixed material handling work.

Austin, North Austin, South Austin, and Del Valle. Facility scissors in distribution and plant buildings, and contractor work around the east side and Bergstrom.

Buda, Kyle, and the I-35 south run. Home base. Building materials yards and contractors that run telehandlers and lifts next to forklifts.

Round Rock, Georgetown, Hutto, Pflugerville, and Manor. Commercial construction, housing support yards, and warehouse facility work.

San Marcos, New Braunfels, Seguin, and Schertz. Mid corridor plants and yards where one Skyjack lift supports a whole building.

San Antonio. Construction and facility work on the north and east sides, plus mixed fleets that never went to one brand.

For Skyjack equipment in any of these cities, we cover the site as part of regular service from Buda, not as a special project.

If You Run A Couple Of Skyjack Lifts, Not A Fleet

A shop with one Skyjack lift and one forklift is still a customer. You do not need a Fleet Program to get a technician. Book a service call, tell us what the machine is doing, and we will take it from there. We strive for same day or next business day service. The Fleet Program is built for 10+ unit operations. The service call path is built for everyone else.

Skyjack Service For Mixed Central Texas Fleets

If you run Skyjack scissors, booms, or telehandlers next to your forklifts, you do not need a second service company for the lifts. Tell us what is on the floor. We will tell you what we can service, what the Fleet Program looks like at 10+ units, and what a single service call looks like if you are smaller than that.
