Independent service for Komatsu lift trucks from Austin to San Antonio. PM, diagnostics, repair, and fleet maintenance on diesel and LPG counterbalance trucks in lumber, building materials, steel, and manufacturing yards. Keeping your business running on time since 1993.
Komatsu is a construction equipment name most people in Texas already know. The forklifts come from the same manufacturer and show up in a different place: lumber yards, building materials lots, steel bays, and outdoor plant docks.
That is the Central Texas pattern. Komatsu lift trucks concentrate in heavier industrial and outdoor work. Diesel pneumatics run lumber and masonry. LPG cushions work indoor manufacturing docks that still want an IC truck. This is yard work, not a clean warehouse aisle.
The I-35 industrial strip is the spine. Lumber, construction supply, and light manufacturing sit on outdoor trucks from Buda through Kyle and San Marcos. Heavier industrial, steel, and metal work sit on the San Antonio side around Seguin and Schertz.
Austin is not empty of Komatsu. Construction supply and lumber yards on the east and south side still run diesel pneumatics. North Austin and Round Rock manufacturing plants add LPG cushions. The brand is just less of a warehouse story here than Toyota, Yale, or Crown.
R&R Lift is an independent forklift company based in Buda. We specialize in forklift service. We also sell forklifts and provide leasing. We service Komatsu forklifts.
On Komatsu that often sounds like this: the construction side of the brand is easy to find, and the lift truck still sits down until someone who works on forklifts shows up.
We service these Komatsu lift trucks in Central Texas:
Diesel is the core of Komatsu work we see in Central Texas yards:
Diesel service covers engines, fuel systems, cooling, air intake in dusty yards, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, steer axles, and mast chains. Heat, grit, and long travel on uneven ground are the usual wear pattern.
LPG Komatsu trucks hold the indoor and dock side of the same operations:
LPG work covers fuel systems, ignition, cooling, hydraulics, brakes, and the rest of the PM scope. A plant that runs FG trucks inside and FD trucks in the yard is still one fleet. We treat it that way.
Komatsu also built electric counterbalance trucks, often badged in the FB series, such as the FB25SH. They appear in Central Texas. They are not the center of the local mix. If you run them, tell us the model plate and we will tell you whether we service that platform.
The service work we run on Komatsu fleets in Central Texas covers four main categories.
Preventative maintenance. Scheduled PM visits at the intervals the manufacturer publishes for that platform. Outdoor diesels need filtration, cooling, and tire and steer inspections that a clean indoor electric does not. Thorough PM is the line that cuts reactive repair and downtime.
Diagnostics. Later Komatsu IC platforms throw fault codes through standard interfaces. Older FG and FD trucks often need mechanical and hydraulic testing more than a laptop. Smoke, power loss, lift drift, and overheating in the yard are the usual complaints. We test the system that failed, not only the code that lit.
Repair work. Engines, fuel systems, hydraulic pumps and cylinders, mast and chain work, brakes, steer axles, and drivetrain repair. Most of that work happens on site, including outdoor yards that do not have a shop bay. For repairs that need shop level work, we coordinate transport and give you a timeline.
Fleet program coverage. For operations running 10+ Komatsu trucks, or 10+ units across Komatsu and other brands, the Fleet Program puts PM, diagnostics, and repair under planned intervals, documented inspections, and one team that knows every unit you run. Fleet Program customers get this guarantee: A tech on site to diagnose within 24 hours for a down unit. Within 2 business days for everything else. Guaranteed. We strive for same day or next business day service. After hours service is reserved for Fleet Program customers.
A shop with 1 or 2 Komatsu trucks is still a customer. Book a service call. The Fleet Program is built for 10+ unit operations.
We service Komatsu forklifts.
Warranty repair claims on a truck that is still under manufacturer coverage should go through the authorized dealer so the claim is processed correctly. We can do regular maintenance and repairs that are not under warranty on those machines. We will tell you when a job belongs on the dealer path.
Parts for Komatsu repairs come through standard OEM and aftermarket channels. Technicians carry common wear items on the truck. Parts are how we finish a repair. They are not a sales counter.
Komatsu’s construction equipment network is not a forklift service department. Calling the shop that works on excavators about a down FD truck is how a yard loses a day. We work on the lift truck. That is the whole job.
Dealers run service next to new equipment sales. We run service as the main work. For a yard that also runs Toyota, Hyster, or Caterpillar forklifts next to the Komatsu units, one independent team is simpler than splitting brands across dealer calls.
We service Komatsu lift trucks across the industrial submarkets we cover.
Buda, Kyle, and San Marcos. I-35 construction supply, lumber, and light manufacturing. Outdoor diesel trucks and gravel lots close to our Buda shop. This is core Komatsu geography for us, not a side trip.
Lockhart, Luling, and Bastrop. Smaller industrial and materials yards south and east of the metro. Pneumatic diesels, farm and building supply traffic, and trucks that live outside.
New Braunfels. Manufacturing and building materials at the midpoint. Mixed indoor LPG and outdoor diesel in the same operation.
Seguin, Schertz, and Cibolo. Heavier industrial, metal, and distribution support on the San Antonio edge. Komatsu IC trucks in yards that also run other brands.
San Antonio. Steel, fabrication, building products, and large outdoor yards. This is where Komatsu capacity and diesel duty show up most. A down truck in a steel bay is not a nuisance. It is a line problem.
Austin, North Austin, South Austin, Round Rock, and Georgetown. Construction supply and lumber on the Austin side. LPG cushions in manufacturing plants north of the city. Less warehouse electric than you will find on a Toyota or Crown page, and that is the honest split.
If you run Komatsu forklifts in any of these areas, your facility is on our regular service map.
If you are running Komatsu diesel or LPG trucks in a lumber yard, a building materials branch, a steel bay, or a plant yard, tell us what is on the ground. We will tell you how we would service it. R&R Lift has kept Central Texas forklifts running since 1993. We are based in Buda. We specialize in forklift service, and we cover operations from Austin to San Antonio.
