JLG Lift And Telehandler Service For Mixed Fleets

Independent service for JLG boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telehandlers from Austin to San Antonio. We service JLG equipment as part of mixed material handling fleets. Telehandlers are the overlap with forklift work. Based in Buda, Texas. Keeping your business running on time since 1993.

Where JLG Equipment Works In Central Texas

JLG is not a forklift brand in the counterbalance sense. JLG builds aerial work platforms, including boom lifts and scissor lifts, and telehandlers. R&R Lift is an independent forklift company. We service JLG equipment because it sits next to the forklifts on the same site and in the same downtime conversation.

JLG is one of the best known names in boom lifts. Fleets choose JLG for a deep lineup of booms, plus scissors and telehandlers from the same manufacturer. That makes it a common brand on sites that need reach.

Commercial and industrial construction. Boom lifts and telehandlers work the job sites along I-35 and SH 130, around Georgetown, Round Rock, Hutto, and San Antonio. Between jobs the machines sit in a yard and need to start on Monday.

Plants and distribution buildings. Boom lifts reach high ceilings, racking, and building systems. Scissors handle the lower work. Manufacturers around Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, and New Braunfels run them for facility upkeep.

Building materials, roofing, and masonry. Telehandlers place packs on roofs and load trucks in the yards of Georgetown, Seguin, and Schertz. Those sites also run forklifts, so mixed fleet service is the point.

What We Service Across JLG Platforms

R&R Lift services JLG equipment as an independent company. We do not sell new JLG equipment. We service the units that show up in mixed material handling fleets across Central Texas. We list equipment types here, not model numbers.

Boom Lifts

Boom lifts are the core of the JLG range.

  • Telescopic boom lifts (straight reach for outdoor and construction work)
  • Articulating boom lifts (reach up and over obstacles)

Boom service work covers boom function and wear points, hydraulics, slew and drive, engines and fuel systems or batteries as equipped, tires, controls, safety devices, and documented inspections. Aerial equipment carries its own inspection and compliance expectations. We inspect, we document what we find, we service what is worn, and we tell you when a unit should stay out of service until it is safe to use. We do not quote a regulation number on this page.

Scissor Lifts

JLG also builds scissor lifts for lower, wider work.

  • Electric scissor lifts (slab units for indoor facility and warehouse work)
  • Rough terrain scissor lifts (engine powered units for outdoor and job site work)

Scissor service work covers hydraulic function, batteries and chargers on electric units, engines on rough terrain units, tires, control systems, and the rest of the PM scope.

Telehandlers

Telehandlers are the forklift adjacent work.

  • Telescopic handlers used in lumber, masonry, roofing supply, construction, and outdoor yards

Telehandler service covers boom function, hydraulics, carriages and forks, attachment locks, outriggers where fitted, drivetrain, brakes, tires, and the rest of the PM scope. A forklift technician already understands how these machines fail.

Common Service Work On JLG Equipment

The service work we run on JLG equipment in Central Texas covers four categories.

Preventative maintenance. Scheduled PM visits at the intervals the platform and the duty cycle call for. Documented inspections. Fluids, filters, hydraulics, function tests, batteries, tires, and wear points. Thorough PM is the line that cuts reactive repair cost and downtime cost.

Diagnostics. Intermittent lift faults, drift, weak lift, dead batteries, and no start conditions get system level testing. Fault codes are a starting point, not the finish. If a dealer only tool is genuinely required, we tell you up front.

Repair. Hydraulic component replacement, wear items, control issues, engine and motor service, battery and charger work, tires, and brakes. Most repair work happens on site. When a job needs shop level work, we coordinate transport and give you a timeline. Technicians carry common wear items on the truck so a PM or a simple repair can finish without a second trip for a filter or a hose.

Fleet program coverage. For operations running 10+ forklifts, the Fleet Program is a scheduled maintenance for the whole fleet. Planned service intervals, documented inspections, and one team that knows every unit you run. Fleet Program customers get a tech on site to diagnose within 24 hours for a down unit and within 2 business days for everything else. Guaranteed. Same day or next business day. After hours service is reserved for Fleet Program customers.

Independent Service Vs JLG Dealer Service

R&R Lift is an independent forklift company based in Buda, Texas, operating since 1993. We are not an authorized JLG dealer. We service JLG equipment. We do not sell new JLG equipment and we are not in JLG’s dealer network.

Most of our customers came to us from a national dealer. They were tired of waiting days for a callback and getting an invoice nobody could explain.

On JLG equipment the same report has a mixed fleet twist. Customers were tired of calling one company for the forklifts and another company for the boom lifts.

Warranty claims on new JLG equipment should go through an authorized JLG dealer so the claim is processed the right way. Regular maintenance and repairs that are not under warranty can stay with us.

Parts for JLG repairs are sourced through standard OEM and aftermarket channels. We tell you what we recommend and why. We are not a parts counter. If a job needs JLG proprietary dealer only tools, we say so up front and we point you to the dealer path for that job.

JLG Equipment Operations We Serve In Central Texas

We service JLG equipment across the industrial and construction submarkets of Central Texas, always as part of mixed material handling work.

Austin, North Austin, South Austin, and Del Valle. Contractor yards, facility booms in plants and distribution buildings, and construction work around Bergstrom and Manor.

Buda, Kyle, and the I-35 south run. Home base. Building materials yards and contractors that run telehandlers and booms next to forklifts.

Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Hutto, and Pflugerville. Commercial construction, housing support yards, and warehouse facility work.

San Marcos, New Braunfels, Seguin, and Schertz. Plants and yards between the two metros, where one boom lift supports a whole building.

San Antonio. Construction and industrial work on the north and east sides, plus mixed fleets that never went to one brand.

For JLG equipment in any of these cities, we cover the site as part of regular service from Buda, not as a special project.

If You Run A Couple Of JLG Lifts, Not A Fleet

A shop with one JLG lift and one forklift is still a customer. You do not need a Fleet Program to get a technician. Book a service call, tell us what the machine is doing, and we will take it from there. We strive for same day or next business day service. The Fleet Program is built for 10+ unit operations. The service call path is built for everyone else.

JLG Service For Mixed Central Texas Fleets

If you run JLG booms, scissors, or telehandlers next to your forklifts, you do not need a second service company for the lifts. Tell us what is on the floor. We will tell you what we can service, what the Fleet Program looks like at 10+ units, and what a single service call looks like if you are smaller than that.

R&R Lift has kept Central Texas forklifts running since 1993. We are an independent forklift company based in Buda, Texas. We specialize in forklift service, and we serve Central Texas fleet operations from Austin to San Antonio.
