Genie Lift And Telehandler Service For Mixed Fleets

Independent service for Genie aerial work platforms, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers. We service Genie equipment as part of mixed material handling fleets from Austin to San Antonio. Telehandlers are the overlap with forklift work. Based in Buda, Texas. Keeping your business running on time since 1993.

Genie Is Aerial And Telehandler Equipment

Genie is not a forklift brand in the counterbalance sense. Genie builds aerial work platforms, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers. R&R Lift is an independent forklift company. We service Genie equipment because it sits next to the forklifts on the same site and in the same downtime conversation.

A lumber yard in Kyle runs two forklifts and a Genie telehandler. A Round Rock distribution center runs a Crown or Toyota fleet and two Genie scissors for racking work. A New Braunfels plant keeps a boom lift beside counterbalance trucks. Those operations want one technician who already knows the site.

Telehandlers are the overlap with forklift work. A Genie GTH class machine places loads with forks and fails in ways a forklift tech already understands: hydraulics, carriages, tires, boom function, attachments. Scissors and booms are a different machine class. We will not pretend a scissor lift is a forklift. We will service the Genie equipment that is on your floor.

Where Genie Equipment Shows Up In Central Texas Fleets

Genie volume in Central Texas follows construction, building materials, and facility work, not a warehouse brand story.

Lumber, masonry, roofing supply, and landscape yards. Georgetown, Kyle, Buda, San Marcos, and the San Antonio north side run GTH class machines to place packs and load trucks. These sites also run forklifts. Mixed fleet service is the point.

Commercial construction along I-35 and SH 130. Scissors and booms move with the job. When a contractor or a plant keeps Genie equipment on the books, it becomes a maintenance asset: function issues, hydraulic leaks, and batteries that will not hold.

Warehouse and plant facility work. Electric scissors inside distribution along SH 130, North Austin, Pflugerville, and the San Antonio Northeast Corridor. If the scissor is down, the racking job waits.

Manufacturing and plant maintenance. New Braunfels, Schertz, Seguin, and San Antonio area plants keep articulating or telescopic booms for overhead work. Inspection and function testing before the outage window matters.

What We Service Across Genie Platforms

R&R Lift services Genie equipment as an independent company. We do not sell new Genie equipment. We service the units that show up in mixed material handling fleets across Central Texas.

Telehandlers

Telehandlers are the forklift adjacent work:

  • GTH series telehandlers used in lumber, masonry, construction supply, and outdoor yards
  • Common local classes include compact units in the GTH-5519 range and mid size units in the GTH-844 and GTH-1056 range

Telehandler service covers boom function, hydraulics, carriages and forks, attachment locks, outriggers where fitted, drivetrain, brakes, tires, engines or electric drive as equipped, and the rest of the PM scope.

Scissor Lifts And Boom Lifts

Aerial equipment is its own machine class:

  • GS series scissor lifts, electric indoor units and rough terrain units
  • Z series articulating boom lifts
  • S series telescopic boom lifts
  • Personnel lifts in the GR and QS classes when they are on the same site

Aerial service work covers hydraulic function, batteries and chargers on electric units, engines and fuel systems on IC units, tires, control systems, safety devices, and documented inspections. Aerial equipment carries its own inspection and compliance expectations. We inspect, we document what we find, we service what is worn, and we tell you when a unit should stay out of service until it is safe to use. We do not quote a regulation number on this page.

Common Service Work On Genie Equipment

The service work we run on Genie equipment in Central Texas covers four categories.

Preventative maintenance. Scheduled PM visits at the intervals the platform and the duty cycle call for. Documented inspections. Fluids, filters, hydraulics, function tests, batteries, tires, and boom or scissor wear points. Thorough PM is the only line that reduces the other two: reactive repair cost and downtime cost.

Diagnostics. Intermittent lift faults, drift, weak lift, dead batteries, and no start conditions get system level testing. If a dealer only tool is genuinely required, we tell you up front.

Repair work. Hydraulic component replacement, boom and scissor wear items, control issues, engine and motor service, battery and charger work, tires, brakes, carriage and fork work on telehandlers. Most repair work happens on site. For shop level work, we coordinate transport and give you a timeline. Parts for the repair are sourced through standard OEM and aftermarket channels. Parts are not a storefront and not a service line.

Fleet program coverage. For operations running 10+ units, including mixed fleets of forklifts plus Genie lifts, the Fleet Program is the right structure. Planned service intervals, documented inspections, and one team that knows every unit you run. Fleet Program customers get a tech on site to diagnose within 24 hours for a down unit and within 2 business days for everything else. Guaranteed. We strive for same day or next business day service. After hours service is reserved for Fleet Program customers.

Independent Service Versus Genie Dealer Service

R&R Lift is an independent forklift company based in Buda, Texas, operating since 1993. We specialize in forklift service. We also sell forklifts and provide leasing.

On Genie equipment the same report has a mixed fleet twist. Customers were tired of calling one company for the forklifts and another company for the scissors.

Warranty claims. New Genie equipment still under manufacturer warranty should go through authorized Genie dealer service for warranty processing.

Day to day service. PM, diagnostics, inspection, and repair on machines that are out of warranty is the work we are set up to run.

The relationship. Aerial dealers run service next to a sales counter. Independent service is the primary motion.

Genie Equipment Operations We Serve In Central Texas

We service Genie equipment across the industrial submarkets of Central Texas, always as part of mixed material handling work.

Austin metro, North Austin, and the east side. Facility scissors in distribution along SH 130. Construction and plant work around Bergstrom, Manor, and Del Valle.

Buda, Kyle, and the I-35 south run. Home base. Lumber, building materials, and outdoor yards that run telehandlers next to forklifts. If the GTH is down at the gate, the forklifts cannot cover the high packs.

Round Rock, Georgetown, Hutto, Cedar Park, and Pflugerville. Commercial construction, housing support yards, and warehouse facility work. Genie scissors and compact telehandlers show up on sites that already have a forklift service company.

San Antonio, Schertz, Cibolo, and Seguin. Northeast Corridor distribution, manufacturing, and plant maintenance booms.

New Braunfels and San Marcos. Plants and regional distribution that serve both metros. A boom lift that sits for a month still needs to work during the outage window.

For mixed fleets in any of these areas, our team covers your facility as part of regular service.

If You Run A Couple Of Lifts, Not A Fleet

A shop with one Genie scissor and one forklift is still a customer. You do not need a Fleet Program to get a technician. Book a service call, tell us what the machine is doing, and we will take it from there. We strive for same day or next business day service. The Fleet Program is built for 10+ unit operations. The service call path is built for everyone else.

Genie Service For Mixed Central Texas Fleets

If you run Genie scissors, booms, or telehandlers next to your forklifts, you do not need a second service company for the lifts. Tell us what is on the floor. We will tell you what we can service, what the Fleet Program looks like at 10+ units, and what a single service call looks like if you are smaller than that.
