Independent service for Cat Lift Trucks from Austin to San Antonio. Preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repair, and Fleet Program coverage for Caterpillar forklifts in plants, lumber yards, and construction supply. Based in Buda. Keeping your business running on time since 1993.
Caterpillar forklifts in this market are Cat Lift Trucks, not the yellow iron on a jobsite. They are built and distributed under that name, and they share engineering with Mitsubishi Logisnext. If your yard runs both Cat and Mitsubishi, the platforms overlap. One service team can cover both.
Cat is strong where the work is heavier and more of it happens outside. Construction supply. Building materials. Lumber yards. Masonry and aggregate yards. Plants that stage product in a dusty lot before it ever sees a dock. Those operations sit along I-35 from Georgetown through Round Rock, Austin, Buda, Kyle, New Braunfels, and San Antonio, and on the east side along 290 and SH 130 toward Manor, Elgin, and Del Valle.
A Cat pneumatic truck in a lumber yard lives a different life than a cushion electric in a fulfillment center. Tires take a beating. Radiators clog. Hydraulics run hot. PM written for a clean warehouse will not hold up here.
New warehouse boxes in North Austin and along SH 130 may have a Cat unit in the mix. The core Cat volume is outdoor and industrial: San Antonio and Schertz construction supply, Buda and Kyle materials, Georgetown and New Braunfels lumber, Austin building products yards, and plants that never moved fully indoors.
These fleets need a shop that already covers the corridor and already knows the Mitsubishi side of the same platform.
R&R Lift services Caterpillar forklifts across internal combustion, electric, and outdoor pneumatic equipment.
IC service work covers engines, LPG and diesel fuel systems, cooling, hydraulics, transmission and hydrostatic drive, brakes, steer axles, and the standard PM scope. Outdoor Cat trucks get extra attention on cooling, tires, and filtration because Central Texas heat and limestone dust punish those systems.
Cat electric trucks show up in indoor plants and in mixed sites that want one brand indoors and out.
Electric service work covers battery and charger inspection, motor and controller diagnostics, hydraulic service, and the full PM scope on the rest of the machine.
Cat fleets in this region are less about narrow aisle warehouse machines and more about the truck that has to leave the building.
The work we run on Caterpillar forklifts in Central Texas falls into four categories.
Preventative maintenance. Scheduled PM visits with documented inspections, set to how the truck is actually used. A lumber yard pneumatic needs a different interval mindset than a dock cushion truck. Thorough PM is the line that cuts reactive repair cost and downtime cost.
Diagnostics. Later Cat electric and IC trucks produce fault codes. Codes are a starting point. We test hydraulic, electrical, cooling, and mechanical systems on site. Outdoor intermittent faults (overheat, derate, no start after a hot shut down) get a real diagnostic visit, not a sensor swap and a hope.
Repair. Engine and motor work, cooling systems, hydraulic pumps and hoses, mast and chain, brakes, steer axles, electrical, transmission and hydrostatic drive. Most repair work happens on site, including in the yard. When a job needs shop level work, we coordinate transport and give you a timeline. Technicians carry common Cat wear items on the truck so a PM or a simple repair can finish without a second trip.
Fleet program coverage. For operations running 10+ forklifts, the Fleet Program is a scheduled maintenance for the whole fleet. Planned service intervals, documented inspections, and one team that knows every unit you run. Fleet Program customers get a tech on site to diagnose within 24 hours for a down unit and within 2 business days for everything else. Guaranteed, Cat and Mitsubishi included. We strive for same day or next business day service. After hours service is reserved for Fleet Program customers.
R&R Lift is an independent forklift company. We service Caterpillar forklifts.
Warranty claims on a new Cat forklift should go through an authorized Cat Lift Trucks dealer so the claim is processed the right way. Regular maintenance and repairs that are not under warranty can stay with us.
Parts for Cat repairs are sourced through standard OEM and aftermarket channels. Because Cat Lift Trucks share engineering with Mitsubishi Logisnext, platform knowledge transfers. We tell you what we recommend and why. We are not a parts counter.
For most diagnostic and repair work, our tooling and platform experience are enough. If a job needs Cat proprietary dealer only tools, we say so up front and we point you to the dealer path for that job.
We also sell forklifts and provide leasing. That is separate from the Cat new equipment channel. The service relationship is the core.
We service Caterpillar forklift fleets across the approved Central Texas service area, with the heaviest Cat work in these submarkets.
Austin, South Austin, and Del Valle. Building materials, construction supply, and plants that stage outdoors. SH 130 and 71 yards that feed the metro build.
Buda and Kyle. Close to our shop. Materials, manufacturing, and mixed indoor outdoor fleets. This is Cat country: pneumatic trucks, dust, and short hops between yard and dock.
San Antonio, Schertz, and Cibolo. Construction supply and lumber serving the San Antonio build, plus industrial yards on the Northeast Corridor and along I-10.
Georgetown, Round Rock, and Cedar Park. Lumber and building products on the north side of the metro, plus plants that kept Cat IC trucks through expansions.
New Braunfels, San Marcos, and Seguin. Mid corridor lumber, materials, and manufacturing between Austin and San Antonio.
Manor, Elgin, and Lockhart. East and south materials yards and plants where a Cat pneumatic is the truck that lives outside.
For a Cat fleet in any of these cities, we cover the facility as part of regular service from Buda. We service the forklifts. We do not service Caterpillar construction equipment.
If you run 1 or 2 Caterpillar forklifts in a lumber yard or a shop, you are still a customer. Book a service call and we will treat that machine with the same care we give a 10+ unit fleet.
