R&R Lift has been servicing forklift fleets across Central Texas since 1993. We're a service specialist, not a dealer with a service department. That structural difference shapes everything about how we work for the operations that hire us.

Why we exist

Most forklift service in Central Texas is done by dealers. The dealer business model runs on equipment sales. Service is a department inside a larger operation that exists primarily to move new units. That structure shapes the incentives: service calls are opportunities to start conversations about replacement, PM visits get scheduled around sales team capacity, and the tech who shows up this time may or may not be the one who shows up next time.

R&R was built differently, and we've kept it that way for over thirty years. Service isn't a department for us. It's the entire business. The tech who shows up is from a small team that rotates through the same accounts. The PM visit takes as long as a thorough PM visit actually takes. When we recommend a repair, it's because that's the right call for your machine, not because someone needs to hit a quarterly quota.

We do sell pre-owned forklifts to existing fleet clients who need to add or swap a unit. It's a client accommodation, not the primary revenue engine. Our comp structure isn't built around new-unit volume, and that structural fact is what lets us give straightforward advice about whether a machine is worth repairing, rebuilding, or replacing.

How we work

Three operational principles shape every program we run:

One team, every machine: At a large dealer, service calls rotate through whoever's available from a pool of sixty or more technicians. Every visit is someone new learning your equipment from scratch. At R&R, a small team rotates through the same accounts. By your fifth service call, they know every machine in your fleet by serial number, every operator's habits, and every quirk in your facility. That institutional knowledge is the difference between diagnosing an issue in one visit and three.
Documentation, not paperwork: Every service call produces a machine-level record. Every machine in a fleet program has a service history on file. Monthly fleet reports summarize what we did, what we found, what's coming up, and what to budget for. Documentation that an ops manager can forward to a boss, an auditor, or an insurance carrier without reformatting first. That's a product decision, not a marketing claim, and it's part of the program by default.
Thorough work, priced honestly: A 30-minute PM visit that catches fluid levels and nothing else isn't saving you money. It's deferring the real inspection until the failure happens. Our PM visits take 90 to 120 minutes per machine because that's how long a real inspection takes, and the issues caught at the PM stage cost meaningfully less than the same issues caught during an emergency service call three weeks later. Program pricing reflects the time the work actually takes.

Who we serve

R&R Lift is built for mid-market fleet operations across Central Texas. Our typical program clients run 10 or more forklifts, with multi-shift or high-cycle operations where unplanned downtime translates directly to lost productivity.

The operations we serve are usually in one of a few categories:

We also service smaller operations who aren’t ready for a full fleet program. If you’re running fewer than ten forklifts or your usage is light enough that a program wouldn’t pencil out, we still do individual PM, diagnostic, and repair work. Same team, same standards, without the program structure.

The industrial footprint between Austin and San Antonio has multiplied several times over in those decades. Who we are

R&R Lift operates out of Buda, Texas, with a service footprint covering the Austin-to-San Antonio corridor. Shaugn leads the operation and has been hands-on in the business for decades. The technician team is built around long tenure, not rotating headcount, which is why the same faces show up at your facility visit after visit.
